Experienced in both narrative and documentary filmmaking, Andrew's passion lies in discovering the essence of the story during the process of directing the photography of the film. Andrew recently received Honorable Mention for the American Society of Cinematographers Burton Stone Heritage Award for outstanding achievement in student filmmaking. He also shot the TV Pilot Cost of Living which received a Student Emmy Award for best comedy. Andrew has shot music videos for bands such as The Black Tie Dynasty, Smile Smile, and Exit Clov. He spends much of his time working on The Best of the National Parks for The Travel Channel, which has taken him to Hawaii, New Orleans, the Grand Tetons, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Alaska. Andrew recently collaborated with Award Winning Sundance Director Jeff Feuerzeig on his new bio pic about the boxer Chuck Wepner who became the inspiration for the Rocky films. Born and raised in downtown Chicago, Andrew received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He then moved to California to attend film school.
