Paul André Fonarev (Sound Designer) was born in Copenhagen, Denmark, but grew up in the much more glamorous River Vale, New Jersey. After a stint at Rutgers University where he tinkered around with microscopic worms in a molecular biology research lab, Paul could not resist the siren call of Hollywood no longer and plunged headlong into the world of filmmaking at the University of Southern California. These days he mainly tinkers with film sound but has been known to edit picture and cultivate dwarf hamsters in his spare time.
Paul is Co-Founder of MISOSound, a Los Angeles based production and post-production sound company that provides professional sound services for film, television, web, mobile and interactive media. Paul was sound editor and re-recording mixer on the 2008 Student Academy Award Gold Metal winning film A Day's Work, directed by fellow USC Graduate Rajeev Dassani.
